RABAD: Hyderabad Electric Supply Company’s (HESCO) spe
cial recovery teams disconnected 40 power con
nections in 25 villages due to non-payment of outstanding dues.
A HESCO spokesman said on Monday that spe
cial recovery teams alon
g with police personnel carried out these act
ivities in Tando Adam, Tando Allahyar, Jamshoro, Thatta, Badin, Shaheed Benazirabad and Mirpurkhas districts and disconnected 25 villages’ power con
nections, with removal of 17 power transformers from the areas.
Meanwhile, the teams also detected hundreds of illegal con
nections which were removed. The teams also made recovery of Rs 0.79 million from the defaulters.
